HVAC Tune-Up Rebate Program
TID is offering up to a $50 rebate to residential customers who have a Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioner (HVAC) unit tune-up performed by a qualified professional. HVAC tune-ups can improve the efficiency and performance of your HVAC system, ensuring you can keep cool all summer long.
Eligibility Criteria
This rebate is available while funds last, and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please review the eligibility criteria and application process below.
To qualify for the rebate program, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Residency: Must be a TID residential customer.
- Timing: Must apply within 6 months of the HVAC tune-up being performed.
- Tune-Up Requirements: The HVAC tune-up must include:
- Cleaning or replacement of air filters
- Cleaning of evaporator and condenser coils
- Verification of adequate air flows
- Refrigerant diagnosis and recharge if necessary
- Professional Service: Must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor.
- Availability: Program applications will be accepted while funds are available.
Application Process
To apply for the rebate, please follow these steps:
- Download or Pick up Application: Download the application or pickup one from your local TID office.
- Contractor Verification: Licensed HVAC Technician performing the tune-up must complete the contractor verification portion of the application form.
- Proof of Service: Provide a copy of the contractor’s invoice for the completed work.
- Property Owner Consent: Renters must have the property owner sign the rebate application.
- Submission: Send the completed application along with all required documents to a TID office or submit online at Rebates.TID.org.
Limitations and Exclusions
- The rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the HVAC tune-up service.
- Limit of two (2) rebates per customer account per calendar year.
- This rebate cannot be combined with HVAC replacement or new installation rebates.
- Applicable only to single-family residential dwellings.
- All installations are subject to TID inspection.
