June 4, 2024
Koehn currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer.
TURLOCK – The Turlock Irrigation District (TID) Board of Directors has appointed Brad Koehn as General Manager, effective June 21, 2024. Koehn will replace Michelle Reimers who announced her resignation on May 31, 2024, after an 18-year career with the District. Koehn has been with TID for 13 years and has held various leadership roles at the District, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer since 2020.
“Brad is a proven leader who brings a deep understanding of all TID operations,” said TID Board President, Ron Macedo. “His experience as the Chief Operating Officer and the different leadership positions he has held in both the water and power administrations, makes him uniquely situated to step into the General Manager role and ensure a seamless transition.”
Koehn is a licensed professional engineer and land surveyor in the State of California, and joined the District in 2011 as the Civil Engineering Department Manager. In 2018, he was appointed to Assistant General Manager of the Power Supply Administration. Prior to working at TID, Koehn spent 16 years in private practice engineering, most recently co-owning a local civil engineering firm.
During his tenure with TID, Koehn helped develop and implement irrigation modernization projects including the Lateral 8 and Ceres Main Regulating Reservoirs, led the evaluation and assessment phase for the Don Pedro Life Extension Project, and guided TID’s entrance into and ongoing participation in the Western Energy Imbalance Market, which optimizes the utilization of TID’s power supply portfolio.
Of the last five years, General Manager Michelle Reimers says, “TID has made significant advancements and Brad has been instrumental in moving these initiatives forward. I am excited to see what he will advance under his direct leadership.”
Koehn is deeply rooted in the community and also serves as a board director for the Turlock Rural Fire Protection District.
“I am sincerely honored to serve as General Manager and thank the Board for their confidence in me to help lead this organization that is such a foundational part of our community,” said Koehn. “I look forward to guiding TID’s dedicated and skilled workforce, and together furthering the progress the District has made and continuing to meet our mission of providing reliable and affordable water and power for our community.”
Koehn will be the ninth General Manager in the 137-year history of TID.
